Bang!...

So I got bangs...yay? No. Not yay. The complete and total opposite of yay in fact...

I went to my favorite salon ready for an amazing haircut because if I'm going to pay forty bucks plus a tip I expect amazingness. They always do a good job...ALWAYS!!!! So what the flip happened?! I got a newer hair stylist, my usual one moved. So I really wanted Zooey Deschanel bangs! I have basically the same hair type, just not as long! Plus, my hair is about as close as I'm going to get to looking anything like Zooey Deschanel because I am well Asian. So basically I have very few options in looking like Miss Deschanel.

I showed my stylist, who was very nice and did a fantastic job on my trim, a picture:

I then said I wanted long bangs, below my eyebrows, full, and not blunt. I told her I want them to be very flirty rather than modern looking fringe crap (not in that exact context, I swear I wasn't rude!) and I wanted pieces on the sides that are shorter than my actual hair, but quite a bit longer than the bangs. So she said "okay no problem, I'll cut them at your eyes and then you can show me how much shorter you want from there!" Perfect, I think, great plan.

Well apparently we just screwed the plan because she did no such thing. She just went for it. The results?
Short, man, mullet bangs. MULLET BANGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wtflip?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate them!!!! I almost cried! What to do, what to do??!!! She cut too much on the sides to pin them up, too short to put a headband over, too short and weird to leave down, I have no options. These are no where near Zooey Deschanel bangs. I am thouroughly upset about my hair!!! I suppose I'll have to wait until they grow. Joy. Perfect for the girl who's hair grows at a slugs pace. Oy with the poodles already.

Well, in honor of my hair idol, for our song of the day:

I love this song and learned it on the ukulele, so at the very least I can play the same instrument as her.

Oh Hair...

So, as far as my hair goes, it's pretty good. It's thick and healthy, however, I am so bored with it!!!! Why don't you get it cut then Kayla?? Well because, my hair grows at the pace of a snail. I have been trying to grow it out for years!!! I get bored with my hair and cut it and then I wish it were long!! I also have a habit of getting bangs, which I'm debating right now, and then I end up hating them...and why shouldn't I?! Bangs are so much work and 8 out of 10 times you have to pin them back because of how crappy they look!!! Does this rant at all change my mind?? Nope. I still think I need bangs! Why? Because I am a girl and girls get bad haircuts that don't seem bad until after you get them. Oh well...I suppose I shall put up a picture if I end up getting bangs, otherwise so long for now!

So I can't put a video on here from my blogger app so a picture will have to take place of the song I wanted to put up!!

I'm Back...Again...

Okay so I realize that I had previously said that I was committed to writing on my blog regularly, but you must realize something: I lead and incredibly boring life. I work and sleep and that is literaly it! I talk on the phone with Victoria for like three hours!  That is a ridicuously unhealthy amount of time to talk to one person...my response to anyone who may think that: Suck it.  Anyways, the point is that if I did write on my blog regularly than it would be so dull that even I would fall asleep and that takes a lot!

So...since my last post I have gotten my hair cut

Gotten a Kate Spade purse and wallet

And joined the iPhone group...I resisted, but I mostly wanted to use my Kate Spade iPhone case!

Anywho, I promise to give a good update on the everchanging, odd life of Kayla in the near future!

Really...

My copier doesn't work. That really sucks.

Anyways I  have nothing much to say today, but I felt like I should post something, so yeah.

Doing laundry.

Song of the Day:

I posted this already, last New Year's, but it's so amazing that I'm doing it again!

Seriously...

Okay, let the rant begin. Why is it that every time an overweight person, a homeless person, or someone who isn't particularly pretty auditions for competition shows (i.e. The X Factor or America's Got Talent, both stupid shows might I add) the judges and audience acts so shocked, I mean incredibly wowed by their talent? I don't watch these shows, but every so often a video will show up on Yahoo or Comcast that captions "Inspirational Video!!"  Let me tell you, it is not any more amazing to me to see a 400 pound person    sing any more than it does to see a 100 pound person sing! Last time I checked, one's level of beauty does not measure one's ability to sing, or dance, or oh I don't know, succeed!!! Geez. People are idiots.

Alright, on a lighter note, Song of the Day:

It was on How I Met Your Mother so obviously I'm putting it up here! Granted it was on when Ted and Robin break up, which is like the worst because, let's face it, we all secretly wanted her to be the "mother" Don't pretend you weren't wishing it too!

Bathroom Done...

I did it! I finished the bathroom! It only took me three weeks, but hey, I got it done! It is soooooo cute! Why should you trust me?? I have pictures!

The sink, with my Cranberry Harvest foam soap in honor of Fall!!

The shelves above the toilet with all my bath products lined up like a little boutique...and yes that box is filled with Lush products!

Little fleur de lis on every gray stripe!

My adorable pink ribbon flower towels!

Above the shower it says LE BAIN...

A closer look...

And the final product!

I am simply amazing.

Okay so Victoria and I are going on this fabulous trip to Ashland! We are staying in the cutest little bed and breakfast ever-the Historic Ashland Oregon Country Inn...the Ashland Mountain House!! It is so pretty...especially in the Fall...which is when we are going!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Okie dokie...Song of the Day:

Victoria and I love this song. However, we unfortunately discovered it in the movie Hope Springs.  DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!  If you do see it you will understand my warning and you will have my annoying "I told you so," ringing in your ear. What you think is a heart attack is not. And what you think is an invasion of personal space, apparently, is not! Beware people of a world where old people doing gross things is considered a romantic comedy...beware.

Geez...

Alright so when I made this blog I swore to myself that I would totally commit to it. I lied. I have, on several accounts, failed. So, in said case, I shall catch everything up.

Let's see...where did I leave off...Victoria-Utah, me-Western Oregon University, me-poor, blah, blah, blah...

Well...since my last post Victoria went to Utah, came back from Utah, I laughed, I cried, I became even more poor, I decided not to go to WOU, I moved back home, I got a job, I started painting the bathroom, I spent a large amount of money on candles that smell like bread, and have planned a fantastic trip to Ashland, where I will be meeting up with Victoria. Phew. If there were ever a time to quote Forrest Gump it would be now.

I am totally redoing our bathroom, which was brown...ugly tannish, brown...I am painting it gray and white stripes, with gold and pink accents...suck it HGTV. I will post pictures! Maybe. Give me a year. That's how long it should take me to take the pictures, load them into the computer, and put them up here. Hey. Don't judge.

Oh. I also got super obsessed with How I Met Your Mother. Which is awesome and sucky. Awesome because, well, it's an amazing show.  The perfect Kayla-Victoria TV series. Why is it sucky, you ask...Well because...Victoria had this friend, let's call her...Todd Packer...no that's not it...I know: a cross breed between Todd Packer and Stanley Hudson...Stanley Packer. Yes. Anyways, so she had this friend, Stanley Packer, who also loves How I Met Your Mother...not a big deal, right? Wrong. Now if Victoria were ever to watch this amazing creation all she would think about would be "No Stanley! Barack is President! You are black!"...Oops. I meant, all she would think about is all the things Stanley Packer had previously said about How I Met Your Mother and it would put a complete downer on the amazingly funny awesomeness of it. So now I watch it and think about how much she would love it and telepathically scream at Stanley Packer for being such a...a...TOBY FLENDERSON!!! There I said it. Can't take it back. Stanley Packer is a big, stupid, idiotic, TV show ruiner, Toby Flenderson.  I think that Michael Scott would understand. Okay. I'm done complaining. Maybe. Get back to me in about ten minutes.

Song of the day:

It was played during an episode of How I Met Your Mother and now I am required to buy the piano music for it. Oh, and in case Victoria is reading this right now, it was being played while Ted and a girl are dancing. Why is this important, you may be wondering...Well because. The girl is Emma, from Once Upon A Time. I hate Toby Flenderson. Toot-a-loo...
